Hilde Marie Kjersem released her third album "A Killer For That Ache" in august 2008. Where her two earlier albums Red Shoes Diary (2004) og Twelve O'clock Tales (2005) could sound like jazz, there is very little that reminds of that or melancoly on her last album. Instead you will find that it bubbles over with strong sounds, colours, luxuriant metaphors and not to forget humour, though it is not without seriousness. She grew up in Ålesund and it was a time characterized by songwriting and concerts long before puberty ended. Later she studied composition at the university and she mentions names like David Lynch, Roger
Rabbit, Finn Graff, Danny Elfman, Robert Wyatt, Josè Saramago, Kate Bush and Tim
Burton.
